How to Prepare Soft  Idli at Home.

HOW TO PREPARE IDLI AT HOME

If you wish to make Idli at home ,you have to buy some ingreidents from the market.The list is given below.

1.    One cup of urad dal

2.    Two cup of idli rice

3.    Some water

                                   4.Two spoon of salt

Process of Making Idli

.At first a cup of dal (Urad dal) is taken to be soaked in water in a bowl for one hours and the same time ,two  cups of idli rice is to be  soaked in water for some hours.

            when perfectly soaked , both dal and rice is drained  kept them in bowl separately.Then  dal is poured in a grinder for making paste.When the paste is made ,it is kept aside.Next rice is poured in the grinder for paste. After that both the paste is again poured in the same grinder for mixing theme perfectly. It is to be kept in mind that while making  them paste, some water is required  for better result. At this point you should keep in mind the consistency of its thickness.

Now come to the Next step

After making  idli batter ,it now needs to be fine fermented.It helps the Idli food soft and fluffy.For this the batter is to be placed in a warm place .when the it starts rising ,salt is to be added  and wisk to mix it properly.

When this is done properly , a idli stand is needed .At this time at first grease the stand is greased with oil and filled a ladleful of idli batter .Next a cup or some water is poured in the idli steamer for boiling for the steam. With that act the idli stand is placed inside  and closed the led. At last it is left on the oven or gas for 8-10 min.

It is important to keep in mind that after 10 mins  you must wait wait for another 5 mins for steam release.So don’t open the lid quickly ,you should wait with patience.After some 8 -10 mins ,take a sharp knife to take out the idli from the Idli stand.

Now Idli is ready to serve. Enjoy your favourite idli with chutney and Samber.
